You need to experiment more. In your attempt to not put your J in the middle you ended up putting the focus in the middle anyway by using an image and creating a circle around the middle. Try an asymmetrical design. If you thought out your arrangement more this could be stronger.
Don't use pixelated imagery.
It is nice that you did the image insert in the letter but what about filters, blend modes, gradients? Very little experimentation with the program. Just a lot of copy/pasting.
